Health Care charts

Keeping busy these days. Lots going on. I'll keep this one short, lol.

Two health care flow charts:

Obama Care

Free Market

Speaking of health, during some of my recent downtime, I got a chance to watch a lot of "Andromeda". I never paid much attention to it while it was originally airing (I'm so indifferent to TV and have no TV habit). James rented or bought most all of the whole series and I've really enjoyed the persistent theme of hope that runs through the whole series. My favorite character in the show (aside from Captain Hunt) is Trance.

Animal owners shrugged (for too long)

At some point, some recommendations become restrictions and political humor about it just isn't funny any more.

Legislative actions and criminalization of various aspects of animal ownership are coming down like a tsunami from Animal Rightists such as HSUS and PeTA. While it is going on like wildfires all over the country, California has a fresh new list of proposals from them to make many aspects of animal ownership or husbandry into criminal activities.

A member of one of my favorite animal husbandry and law related forums submitted this passage from page 436 of Atlas Shrugged:
"Well, what do you think they're for?"
Dr. Ferris did not notice the sudden look on Rearden's face, the look of a man hit by the first vision of that which he had sought to see. Dr. Ferris was past the stage of seeing; he was intent upon delivering the last blows to an animal caught in a trap.
"Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against--then you'll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We're after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted--and you create a nation of law-breakers--and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden, that's the game, once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."
That playlist sound familiar?

Assorted oddities...

On LGD-L, (Livestock Guardian Dog discussion List which also has a library on subjects regarding these dogs), we read about how flockguardian dogs work with livestock and sometimes run into stories about various species kept under LGD care. One type of goat I hadn't heard of on the forum is a Moroccan goat that climbs trees. One of the by products of tree climbing goats is argan oil.

Chickens do have amazing abilities. I thought this was one of the better videos on chicken head orientation. :)

Constitutional crisis?
I thought it a bit odd, what is going on for Donofrio. He set up a Blogger blog when another site of his went down temporarily. The Blogger blog has since been taken down for about 24 hours as of this writing.

American Thinker has much of the Hawaii birth certificate info up to date.
A news site in Oklahoma has another summary.

I thought Salon was a bit amusing, after all, elected officials say one thing during campaigns and then do another. Honeymoon killer - Salon

Okay, I was wrong but PeTA Mommy is still alt.wacked.disturbed

I had thought he was 1/4 Arab but apparently I was off by quite a bit -- :edit: 28Nov2008 IF that link doesn't work, try this one. The author of the page had used a tilde in the page name and it doesn't not resolve properly from some links. :)

Gamezebo has an article about a game where PeTA perpetuates its radical mayhem, apparently based on its favorite "Mommy".

Now, let's move on with some Free stuff!

A cool looking, free online game is Something Amiss, about a young woman named Alice, who wakes up on the table of an MRI machine and finds there's no one there around her. Apparently she is locked into this MRI room and with your help she will figure out how to get out of there and solve the other puzzles in the cascade of questions surrounding her situation. It's all played entirely in a browser window and you can click any key on your keyboard to get game help and tips. You move Alice around by mousing the crosshairs onto different objects and left-clicking when the crosshairs turn red and choosing from a menu.

November 21st (Friday) is the day that the launch for the public beta for another free online game. This is Elf Island, a fantasy world game with a cute homepage. Nice concept. It seems to be about teaching children about compassion and doing good for others. The registration page seems to be pretty straightforward that it is intended to be a nice game for kids and others who like this concept.

Both "Something Amiss" and "Elf Island" each have blogs linked each their homepages so you can learn more about the latest updates on each.

Now more along the line of things I actually make time for, cooking and recipes! There's a free, beautifully illustrated Bisquick recipe collection, which can also be downloaded and kept handy offline. Likewise, one for Diabetes, one on brunches, soups, holiday cookies, whole wheat baking and birthday parties. These are courtesy of Betty Crocker and General Mills and I think these magazines are typically sold as impulse items at the checkout stands. I just love freebies! (and uh... to someone who will not be named, No, I'm not really downloading the entire internet... I think? lol) Psst... to everyone else, is she gone now? Shhh... here's one more, a Kraft Food and Family Festive 2008 recipe collection.

There's more but I think this is enough for now!

Ad Age's Marketer of the Year - Obama Wins 2008!

Resistance is futile.
LOL, pic. Funny geeky stuff.

Marketing --
On techy stuff... Popular media is always changing. Newspapers in printed form aren't doing so hot any more. Live video or TV seems to do much better. There's a lot of good to be said for finding ways to get citizens involved with their choices in government although it is sometimes an analyst's minefield, and all resort to some amount of flakey propaganda. The goal, of course, is to successfully sell the strategist's candidate. Presidential debates (see link for history) for example, are somewhat like today's real time reality shows. How much longer will be before you can pick up a cell phone and vote on such performances? It could be a cool thing because it keeps the heat going because people can be interactive in the selection of candidates for their strengths.

In light of that, I found the following very interesting...

Obama Wins! Ad Age's Marketer of the Year - 2008
From unknown to presidential nominee
"I think he did a great job of going from a relative unknown to a household name to being a candidate for president," said Linda Clarizio, president of AOL's Platform A, the sponsor of the opening-night dinner attended by 750 where the votes were cast.
For another look at how technology enhanced this election and how the times, they are a changin' <-- check out the link.

Not entirely a total non sequitur to above material on marketing a candidate, the following Google video is an interesting lecture which has concepts which tie into marketing strategy, technology and choices. Certainly contains material for reflection for analysts, or those that are involved with developing and understanding stratagem. It is 64 minutes long.

The Paradox of Choice - Why More Is Less, by Barry Schwartz.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing...

Protecting Constitutional concepts is apparently truly non-partisan. Now, not only are loyal 'D' party supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton involved and some former Obama supporters figuratively clasping hands along with various picks from the 'R' party, but Presidential candidate of the American Independent Party, Alan Keyes; Wiley S. Drake, V.P. candidate of the Independent Party & California elector, and Markham Robinson, another California elector as well all want to know the answers.

Alan Keyes has filed suit in California on Nov. 12, 2008 against Obama and others. Yeah, I know -- some loyal Obama supporters are keeping their eyes closed, sticking fingers in their ears and chanting lalalala... after all, Berg supposedly had no standing to sue (Berg v. Obama: Surrick dismissed the case , finding that Berg lacked standing to bring the suit - standing defined thusly -- because he did not face direct harm even IF the allegations were true). Ah fine on the legal lingo, but that's still avoidance. Berg has filed again with the Supreme court and still has a Writ of Certiorari standing.

As I pointed out in a recent post about the forensics of our recent politics, ignoring or obsfucating unanswered questions does not make them go away. Even FactCheck.org which was oft' cited in reams of forums very pointedly did the same -- fingers in ears, lalala -- and it remains. Dated from back in August it passes their decree to their unquestioning faithful that Obama is "born in the USA"... Yet, they wrote: We tried to ask the Hawaii DOH why they only offer the short form, among other questions, but they have not given a response. Even Snopes which is increasingly unreliable, cites factcheck as proof that Obama was born in the USA. Sorry folks, it hasn't been proven yet. Self referential is bad forensics.

We'll just have to see how our various judges address the issues.

Alan Keyes may have standing as it was defined in the Berg v. Obama, PA suit, we'll just have to see. Keyes v. Bowes, Petition of Writ of of Mandate (get the PDF here) develops on what was learned about Bergs previous technicalities and then some. Quoted in part, below:
[...]At this point, Senator Obama has not allowed independent or official access to his vault (original hospital) birth records and supporting hospital records. Senator Obama’s citizenship status has been, and is being, challenged in 17 different legal actions in various federal and state courts, which challenges cast doubt on the validity of the electoral process, regardless of outcome, if not resolved prior to the certification of the election by the Electors. SOS is specifically charged with certifying and guaranteeing the validity of official documents and overseeing the elections in California, such that the people’s confidence in the fundamental aspect of democracy is maintained. To date, in this regard, SOS has not carried out that fundamental duty
The PDF does outline a case when the Secretary of State did do the job they were supposed to do regarding another young candidate.

Below, as the rest of us have continued wondering over past months... have we a metaphysical President-elect?
However, there are a number of separate reasons that would make Senator Obama ineligible to serve as President of the United States. On August 21, 2008, Mr. Phillip J. Berg, former Deputy Attorney General of the State of Pennsylvania, filed a legal action against Senator Obama and the Democratic National Committee. With his action, and in the subsequent appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States, Mr. Berg provided documents to the effect that Senator Obama was born in what is now Kenya (the British East African Protectorate of Zanzibar at the time) and that his paternal grandmother was present at his birth. Senator Obama claims that he was born in Hawaii. According to statements made by his half-sister, Maya Soetoro Ng, he was born in Kapiolani Hospital in Hawaii. According to his biography posted on Wikipedia, Senator Obama was born in Queens Hospital in Hawaii. [Map] However, he has never provided the original hospital birth certificate from 1961, with the name of the hospital and the name and the signature of the doctor in attendance. All that Senator Obama has posted on his website is a Registry of Live Birth (short version), obtained in 2007, that does not provide the name of the hospital or the doctor. Clearly, one human being cannot be born in three different places. Hawaii Revised Statute 338-178 allows registration of birth in Hawaii for a child that was born outside of Hawaii to parents who, for a year preceding the child’s birth, claimed Hawaii as their place of residence.
Interesting times indeed. Over all, I see in the groups with which I communicate, there is less concern about the party that leads our nation (no concern at all regarding race) than there is for concern that 'We the People' are truly able to ask questions without being forced into silence by our own constitutional judiciary.

I don't think Obama wanted his life to be secret if he wrote about his life. Do the facts stack up? Will we find out? Have his legions been swept up into a Harry Potter-like world in Obama novels loosely based on someone's imaginary life?

Unavoidable scenario: If SCOTUS disqualifies Obama BEFORE 1/20/09 inauguration, McCain is POTUS per remaining electoral college electors; if SCOTUS disqualifies Obama after 1/20/09 inauguration, Hillary likely becomes POTUS per vote of Dem controlled House of Rep. Either way, is clear Obama will NOT be or remain POTUS.

Whew it's over! -- Now for some relaxing Cat Music

I'm so glad the election is over.

While everything isn't final yet, electoral college matters among other things -- the basic elements of world economy, broad international lack of stability, and the position of being the world's most powerful leader will truly test his mettle and show us if he really has a strategy or has been a novelist and poet all along. His anticipated tenure will sorely test the soured faith of hundreds of thousands newfound proletariats, from countless populations of inter-conflicted and indeed clashing special interests. And to begin with, he has already lowered the bar to define who are the bourgeoisie, he has over half the country uneasy with his lack of accountability, which includes his being held up to less scrutiny than other 2008 candidates and even a plumber, up to this point. (probably politically incorrect to do, if we are to consult our mainstream media's recent actions as our guide.) Hoping for the best.

Now time for a little Cat Music or at least some grins. :)

I can't hear a thing on the vid of course, but there is a bit of open captioning. The part of this clip that made me laugh was what appears to be a sort of 'dueling pianos' demo at a tempo slower than that of "Amazing Grace". Having played piano for about ten years as a child (in Japan), I do know what those keys sound like that the kitty is pressing and maybe I need a disclaimer for my subject line. ;)

I agree. So childlike and almost human! The one cat I had when I also had a piano was good at knocking music and knick knacks down to the floor -- or walking on the keys.

"Vetting" a Candidate Gets a Boost from the Electoral College?

Approaching storm... where is the light?

Vetting the Presidential Candidates does not exist at the level of confidence that some voters believe.
Claims that it does exist in a secure, thorough and consistent manner are bogus and based on assumptions. Vetting of - Vice Presidents is done by the presidential candidate's advisors and is probably a more thorough procedure than that used for presidential nominees. Vetting of visitors to the White House however, is abysmal.

Now, on Monday the 3rd... a day before the big day, Electoral College may be involved in the growing number of lawsuits challenging Obama's eligibility. In my opinion, EC does have to get involved with the alleged and unsatisfactory vetting process and how it failed for Obama's campaign. ". . .24 potential Electoral College electors are filing action Monday morning in court"

So who screens? Who does the vetting? Had it been a different election year, Obama's alleged party affiliations (eg, with Illinois' socialist New Party) might have actually had some elements of conflict with California's nomination requirements which include the following, but it's doubtful that SoS would actually investigate or challenge since it appears to be merely a paperwork formality:

1Any candidate for state partisan office shall have been registered with the political party the nomination of which he or she seeks continuously for not less than three months prior to the time of presentation of his/her Declaration of Candidacy or, if eligible to register for less than three months, for as long as he or she has been eligible to register to vote in California. The candidate shall not have been registered as affiliated with a political party other than that party within twelve months immediately prior to the filing of the Declaration of Candidacy. This party affiliation requirement is not applicable for candidates of political parties participating in their first direct primary election subsequent to their qualification as political parties. §8001

Here's a PDF of the procedure in Washington state to get more familiarity (or if it's your state).

The Illinois webpage listing Obama as a member of the New Party has been deleted from the NP site, and if you clicked that link above, you find yourself landing on the Internet Time Machine. More info here including other sources of NP info with Obama membership. Are the dates for his affiliation known? October 1996 was the date of the article that has been 'deleted'. 12 months is pretty close to his Declaration of Candidacy filed with the State of California given his youth. While his affiliations with alternate parties is his choice and of little quibble to me, it is relevant to me that his affiliations mirror important issues of party allegiance, consistency and faith in direction, and that was part of why the stipulation of a grace period is important. It's also very important to me that all the elements of lack of accountability in politics are addressed with a reasonable explanation, rather than whatever is going on now. It's quite obvious that Obama is not about 'change' if he doesn't want to be held accountable for his own deeds. It mirrors the exact issues we all have with all parties.

At any rate, what about that 'vetting' he went through? For presidential candidates to be accepted in California-
Each party nominates and then certifies their chosen presidential candidates to the California's Secretary of State. The SoS accepts the 'Certification of Nomination' (see sample jpg of one, from another state) from each candidate or that which is submitted by their party on their behalf. Independents are only 'vetted' by popularity and the media. This is really an inside job! An example of procedure is shown in PDF for California, quoted here, in part:
Selection is based on any combination of several criteria, including but not limited to:
• Being generally recognized as seeking the office
• Qualifying for federal matching funds
• Appearing in public opinion polls, candidates' forums, debates, etc.
• Being on the ballot in other states' primaries
• Actively campaigning in California
• Having a campaign office in California

Candidates not selected by the Secretary of State may qualify by circulating petitions statewide
to gather signatures of voters registered in their party.

• Democratic candidates must gather signatures in each of the state’s 53 congressional districts, equal in number to 1% of the district’s Democratic registration in the 154-Day Report of Registration preceding the presidential primary or 500, whichever is fewer. The period for circulating nomination petitions is October 8 to December 4, 2007 (E-120 to E-63). §§ 2187(a)(1), 6061, 6101, 6108, 6122

• Republican, American Independent, Green, Libertarian, and Peace and Freedom Party candidates must gather signatures equal in number to 1% of their party’s statewide registration total in the 154-Day Report of Registration preceding the presidential primary; signatures may be gathered anywhere in the state. The period for circulating nomination petitions is October 24 to November 23, 2007 (E-104 to E-74). §§ 2187(a)(1), 6343, 6360, 6365, 6382, 6568, 6569, 6581, 6586, 6587, 6591, 6725, 6781, 6786, 6787, 6791

By the 120th day before the election, the chairperson of each qualified party must notify the Secretary of State of the number of delegates to represent California at the party’s national nominating convention. Prior to the presidential primary election, each Democratic and Republican candidate must file a slate of the requisite number of delegates for his/her party, selected according to the party’s requirements. For the American Independent, Green, Libertarian, and Peace and Freedom Parties, each group of candidates for delegate must receive the endorsement of a candidate for the presidential nomination, which must be filed with the Secretary of State.
Anyhow, so much for careful "vetting". There at appears to be a lot more attention to 'vetting' his past into obscurity in many areas, from which other candidates cannot escape scrutiny, or if they attempt to, noise is made about it in main stream media.

Icon, Barry Potter's Obama's charisma and debating skills seduce some into believing he is a hero! that will give them solutions and change. Frankly, no one should need reminders that every candidate promises change, but the complex realities of idealism vs reality smack them all down. They are supposed to both uphold the Constitution and serve other people including those that may not have elected them. They are between a rock and hard place. So Obama's desire for change is mirrored in all of us but embodied in different ways.

How many us decide as kids, that we would never raise our kids the way our parents did? And then what happens? You grow up, you get the brats by the tail, and over time, you start to see your own parent(s) when you look in the mirror. Reality and idealism are yin and yang. They are never the same. There must be a balance between the id and the ego. And any executive faced with too much change at once has no easy way to deal with a disaster. If 9/11 never happened, how different would be our situation now? Decisions are hard. I still see people leaping to their deaths from smoking, towering buildings and huge barrelling clouds of smoke and debris flowing down the streets like a river... -those images will stay with all of us for a long time.

Sarah Obama tapes available...

Did several updates on this post, this AM. (Nov 2, 2008)

Sarah Obama's tapes are finally now available to the public and online.

Go to America's Right blog for details with Jeff Schreiber's comments. (Jeff is: Legal writer by day, exhausted law student by night)

Along with the well publicized "confirmation" from Grandma Sarah about being present at Obama's birth, some of what is there includes... "from Rev. Kweli Shuhubia's sworn affidavit":
I left Kisumu City and traveled to Mombosa, Kenya. I interviewed personnel at the hospital in which Senator Obama was born in Kenya. I then had meetings with the Provincial Civil Registrar. I learned there were records of Ann Dunham giving birth to Barack Hussein Obama, III in Mombosa, Kenya on August 4, 1961. I spoke directly with an Official, the Principal Registrar, who openly confirmed the birthing records of Senator Barack H. Obama, Jr. and his mother were present, however, the file on Barack H. Obama, Jr. was classified and profiled. The Official explained Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. birth in Kenya is top secret. I was further instructed to go to the Attorney General’s Office and to the Minister in Charge of Immigration if I wanted further information.
:edit: I forgot to post this other link showing Obama's Grandma. She is an awesome, beautiful lady. She seems to be very active, healthy and astute. It is interesting to consider that others will be trying to silence her or be 'speaking for her' -- from this point on and in the near future -- because what she has to say is not considered "evidence". Main Stream Media could have sent someone out to speak with her, months ago, but there appears to be any number of reasons that this did not happen. Instead, we have to rely on regular civilians who can be doubted for any number of reasons, for what they have to say or hide. I did particularly like the video showing the ride to the home and a little about Grandma Obama. (adds more information to the video posted the other day about Obama's paternal grandma).

I've also been trying to dig up information how how Obama was 'vetted'. I am told by his supporters that he was vetted by the Secret Service, the FBI and NSA, but none of them have even tried to source this. I could say more but I have a few more things I want to do after posting this.

:edit: See today's post at Zombietime. (some of the speculation is just a bit weird, but the real underlying connections are in the philosophical material)

Getting Ready... Just in Case

Viewpoint - October 29, 2008
(see above link) Edwin Vieira, Jr. talks about Obama's situation, and about the Berg v. Obama decision. From the link- I paste a partial short biography: "He holds four degrees from Harvard: A.B. (Harvard College), A.M. and Ph.D. (Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences), and J.D. (Harvard Law School). For more than thirty years he has practiced law, with emphasis on constitutional issues. In the Supreme Court of the United States he successfully argued or briefed the cases leading to the landmark decisions Abood v. Detroit Board of Education, Chicago Teachers Union v. Hudson, and Communications Workers of America v. Beck, which established constitutional and statutory limitations on the uses to which labor unions, in both the private and the public sectors, may apply fees extracted from nonunion workers as a condition of their employment." (links to other articles he has written - also note he is not picking only on Obama... he has recently called candidates McCain, Huckabee, Obama, and Clinton "four very dangerous idiots".) ;)

From the John Birch Society

It is difficult to weigh in on the issue of the "natural born" citizenship status of Barack Obama without sounding like a GOP partisan or a sore loser supporter of Hillary Clinton.

We do however want to make people aware of the Constitutional crisis that would ensue if, after November 4th, it was determined that president-elect Obama was found short of meeting the strict application of "natural-born" citizenship status. In such a case, we would be presented with a situation far more serious than in the contested 2000 election. (more...)

And about polls- "Polls: Obama or McCain Is Winning" by Steven M. Warshawsky - He writes about how polls make people think an election has been 'stolen'.

Anyway, we'll have to see what happens on Election Day.

Now, time for something a little bit different... B)

Happy Halloween! I think the video below shows how wacked people can be! :)

Forensics of Logic vs Faith based Election

I had a good laugh when I peeked in various forums. I was amused at various breakdown in logic. Scenario: the typical poster is supposedly trained in scientific method or otherwise has some other profession which normally requires a significant amount of hard tangible evidence. Many of these generally fit the mold of those who have issue with 'faith based' history or evolution and engage in lively debate on the same.

The funny thing is that the same people abandon logic and science, indeed, tangible evidence and fact finding -- over the simple matter of Obama's real birth certificate. I'm only addressing the question of is he or isn't he, natural born. People tend to lose focus, emotions take over -- *POOF* (as another friend used to type) -- none of their previous rules to support scientific skepticism need apply at this point! :rotfl: Some realize this and have a good laugh at their human side. :)

Here's a birth certificate on a car btw. Vrroooom!

It is 'about faith' in that certificate of live birth, for example. There's no further proof needed to validate Obama's 'natural born' status... since 'its all up there' on a given website they name or perhaps he wrote it in 'His Book' which of course... ohhh, careful now... :)

Anyway, one thing that people seem to be confused about, is that the computer print out showing that the state of Hawaii has a record on him does not provide verification of his birth in that state. Even that car's certificate has more info on it. LOL.

See
A Hawaiian birth certificate

Medical officers (or doctors) present, the mom (and dad if present), would sign above documentation to verify a birth they witnessed. You know... like a signature and all that. ;) The hospital where the baby was born would be noted as well.

A friend wrote about her father's birth certificate. In the case of that one... in the early 30s when he was born, there were a lot of home births. My friend's grandmother's name was on the certificate and her grandfather is listed as the 'MD'. Grandad was not actually an MD but these little forms are pretty concise and since he was probably present or nearby when his son was born, and since the forms are filled out by civilians in any manner they choose and only signed by doctors if doctors were involved, then that certificate only validates the info the parents put on the paper. It is not necessarily true.

A mom with a homebirth, going to the hospital with her new baby would be handed a questionaire card to fill out and sign. She can put anything she wants on it. And even call the father an alien from Mars if she believes that. BUT if a doctor is present for the birth, the attending physician signs these things. It is not a form that the hospital fills out by inventing answers. It's like when you have HMO situation and they hand you a clipboard when you walk in. Except for a baby, ideally this clipboard is only filled out once. LOL

None of the information which validates a native birth is in Obama's widely circulated computer generated summary. It really is only "a certification" of the existance of a certificate. The conjecture is that Obama's mom was in Hawaii at some point after Obama's birth, and that he may be born in Kenya. The 'piece of paper' currently flaunted is not valid evidence for a US born birth.

The hospitals are required to disclose all births and deaths. Even marriages that are in the newspaper will not have enough information on the people involved to draw conclusions on the residency of the persons documented.

According to the college records of Obama's mom, she was not in Hawaii at the time of Obama's birth, and the link with info on that has some nice pictures of Stanley Ann and her family. The page also raises another ponder: Who's yo daddy? Check it out.

??? Gack!

A lot on my mind, I can't be motivated to put it into words here.
Very interesting stuff going on.

Governor of Hawaii sealing the records? (Has this anything to do with Obama's recent trip to Hawaii? -more likely Corsi's wording of the Governor's announcement?)

Credit card fraud? Stuff that's got to be in the news, you think?

Shame Cubed -although the quote below is not the main point of the linked message, the issue about reporting is so true. It's a lot easier to get a misidentified dog, labeled as a 'pit bull attack' in the news, than to have journalists engaged in investigative reporting. Or even balanced reporting in areas of national politics? (emphasis below in color, is mine)
I know that this person does not have teams of highly paid professionals, does not work out of a corner office in a skyscraper in New York, does not have access to all of the subtle and hidden conduits of information … who possesses no network television stations, owns no satellite time, does not receive billions in advertising dollars, and has a staff of exactly one.

I do not blame Barack Obama for believing in wealth distribution. That’s his right as an American. I do blame him for lying about what he believes. But his entire life has been applying for the next job at the expense of the current one. He’s at the end of the line now.

I do, however, blame the press for allowing an individual citizen to do the work that they employ standing armies of so-called professionals for. I know they are capable of this kind of investigative journalism: It only took them a day or two to damage Sarah Palin with wild accusations about her baby’s paternity and less time than that to destroy a man who happened to be playing ball when the Messiah decided to roll up looking for a few more votes on the way to the inevitable coronation.

We no longer have an independent, fair, investigative press. That is abundantly clear to everyone — even the press. It is just another of the facts that they refuse to report, because it does not suit them.
An Alaskan Republican senator is bigger news to some news sites, along with their usual sticky drooly slavering over their coddled candidate. Go figure.

Obama sued Citibank Under CRA to Force it to Make Bad Loans - an older link still on my mind.

Yep... what happened to individual privacy that was going to prevent us from listening in on terrorist conversations? Congress put up a fight over that, but it IS okay to hack into Palin's private email acct (done by the son of a democratic official) or use gov't computers to destroy "Joe the Plumber" , a private citizen because he asks a tough question of a presidential candidate? - who has now been blackballed and cannot get a job. Obama has talked about how negative our constitution is.. but you will not hear that in the news. The press is definitely not giving us a full story on any issue these days. Our own Channel 9 here in FL has been 'censored' by the Obama campaign because they did not like the questions asked of Biden. Will any opposition pressed be silenced forever if Obama is elected? We are indeed losing our individual rights and our press no longer gives us balanced reporting. The incidents sound more like Cuba or Russia - destroying private citizens and silencing the oppostion. Children in uniform chanting the glories of a presidential candidate. And my own Union newspaper praising the Marxist philosphy (ant that is a quote) of a presidential candidate! This should raise an alarm to all Americans.... what is happening to our beloved county?

Obama said his government was about change! People want smooth talking icon to look up to, but actually more of the same secretive, selective, predjudicial stuff as before. They just want to vote for it this time. LOL :D

Yuri Bezmenov (ex KGB ) on demoralization and What Happened to Freedom?

"Yuri Bezmenov on demoralization", by Edward Griffin - 1984
partially quoted, from link-

This shocking video transcription exposes KGB's subversive tactics against western society. In this interview, Yuri Bezmenov explains how Marxist ideology is deconstructing America's values, destabilizing the economy, and provoking crises in order to sovietize the free world.

video:

When Yuri is asked his opinion on fixing the problem as he defines it, he says-

YURI: Well, the immediate thing that comes to mind is, of course, there must be a very strong national effort to educate people in the spirit of REAL patriotism, number one. Number two, to explain [to] them the real danger of socialist, communist, welfare state, Big Brother government.... The moment at least part of [the] United States population is convinced that the danger is real, they have to FORCE their government, and I'm not talking about sending letters, signing petitions, and all this beautiful, noble activity, I'm talking about FORCING [the] United States government to stop aiding Communism.... and it is very easy to do; no credits, no technology, no money, no political or diplomatic recognition...

Freedom comes with the need to be responsible for ones behavior. So much of this was driven home when we were fighting AB1634 here in California, where extremists were trying to put blame for a perceived problem on responsible pet owners. However, significant portions of recent chaos at ground zero in my life has had everything to do with Agenda 21. If you're not familiar with what that is, here are some helpful links.

What Happened to Freedom? (Canada Free Press article)
Very few people know that this transformation of values is the result of policies that originated in the United Nations. In 1976, the U.N. Conference on Human Settlements adopted a 65-page policy document, signed by the United States, which said:

  • Public control of land use is indispensible
  • Redistribute population in accord with available resources;
  • Control land use through zoning and land-use planning;
  • Excessive profits from land use must be recaptured by government;
  • Public ownership of land should be used to exercise urban and rural land reform;
  • Owner rights should be separated from development rights, which should be held by a public authority.
  • All of these, and many more recommendations from this conference, are now completely incorporated into local ordinances and state laws.

Some more links... not just Santa Cruz, but all across California to Alabama, Australia too - we are being forced to give up our rights. Do you take scenic byways for granted?

Sustainable Development and the Fraud of Free Trade...
The United Nations is a communist organization and their agenda is communism. Their function is to hire the central planners for the global economy and publish the instructions to the domestic organizations that exist to support their agenda. We can tell how successful they are at distributing and implementing their plans by the conditions on the ground of the U.S. economy. That would be 24,000 people applying for 400 Walmart jobs in Oakland, Calif. 8,000 people applying for a similar number of Walmart jobs in Phoenix, Arizona. Record bankruptcies. Record debt. Record home foreclosures. Skyrocketing property values as they pump the market to drive up prices and then pull the rug out from under property owners. The list goes on...

    Here's the agenda again: http://freedom.org/reports/human-settlements/

Yuri is right? Did you vote to support the Agenda?

More Obama Chaos - interesting stuff

Over at ObamaCrimes.com, Philip J. Berg, Esquire, has made a press release dated 21 October, 2008, regarding the allegations in Berg vs Obama.

Some of which content is as follows:
Press Release: Obama & DNC admit all allegations in Berg v. Obama
    Tuesday, 21 October 2008

Obama & DNC Admit All Allegations of Federal Court Lawsuit - Obama’s “Not” Qualified to be President

Obama Should Immediately Withdraw his Candidacy for President

For Immediate Release: - 10/21/08 - Complete contact details and pdfs of this press release and motions filed by plaintiff Berg today are at the end of this article

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/21/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and tbe DNC “ADMITTED”, by way of failure to timely respond to Requests for Admissions, all of the numerous specific requests in the Federal lawsuit. Obama is “NOT QUALIFIED” to be President and therefore Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Berg stated that he filed Requests for Admissions on September 15, 2008 with a response by way of answer or objection had to be served within thirty [30] days. No response to the Requests for Admissions was served by way of response or objection. Thus, all of the Admissions directed to Obama and the DNC are deemed “ADMITTED.” Therefore, Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President.

    OBAMA - Admitted:

    1. I was born in Kenya.

    2. I am a Kenya “natural born” citizen.

.......[see allegations link above for more]

Related wierdness, I also finally got around to reading what African Press International has claimed was text from a phone call by Mrs. Obama (in which the caller gives very evasive response to this). Reminded me a bit of the shrill stuff that Kerry's wife was all about not so long ago, from another election, on a different planet, far far away???

Pretty serious stuff for allegations, and if it is true that Obama isn't qualified after all, I'm not sure how an election can get more chaotic.

I know chaos. We had a governor recalled in California, and had 135 candidates to pick from in October 2003 for our for our new Governor. I have scans of the ballot here, zipped. (905 KB )

    Polly Tricks

Inboxes are coming alive with more political mail. Not complaining. I like that people get active in the processes of shaping understanding. I think it is undeniable that a lot of stuff in circulation has certain bias, sometimes it is good bias and other times it's just plain wonky. At the end of the day, none of us really know the whole truths of anything nor how an elected candidate will act on his/her new reality, once they "have the tiger by the tail".

A site that I have found pretty useful in working out issues in local government is Vote Smart. Go there and look up a candidate that you may be researching. Check out their stance and their voting record on the issues closest to your heart. Then check out to see if they balance out this position by defeating it with other measures. The site may probably be most useful in issues in local government but it certainly has value for candidates who are jockeying for national positions. (The fastest way to get info on an incumbent or candidate is to type their last name into the search box.)

Once you are there... on the main profile of your target (the way it is formatted now) there will be a picture of the incumbent and then a list of things such as "Biographical", "Issue Positions (Political Courage Test)", "Interest Group Ratings", and assorted other things. You can also check out how they voted or abstained on various issues. We are all aware that sometimes bills come about that sound like a good idea, but for example if you have a large population of people that would like to use their clout to control issues in an area affecting another group -- they are often guilty of heavily profiling that group and anyone that doesn't fit precisely into the literature's dogma, will be swept into the chaos. (this was a major area where proponents of Mandatory Spay and Neuter bills have totally taken leave of their brains. Give them a hammer and everything is a nail.) There are sometimes good reason for a candidate to not support a bill that appears to be something that they actually believe in and that really should go without saying, but I am increasingly made aware that certain classes of activists are little more than Barbie cheerleaders for a cause they little understand. Also at least among my acquaintances, many of us are not strict on our party lines -- for even the candidates themselves are not as simple as black and white.

Cheryl, a great gal, sent me this link that I hadn't seen before. It is kind of fun to do.
ABC has a test to see who's campaign statements, McCain's or Obama's, you agree with most.

They don't tell you who made the statements, of course, but a statement made by each candidate on the same topic (economy, immigration, judiciary, etc.) will be side by side. You just pick which statement you agree with and, after selecting all 13, you'll find out which candidate's philosophy you support (and you can hover over the checkmarks to see the statement again, if you've forgotten).

    Try it at: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/MatchoMatic/fullpage?id=5542139

Although I had no issue with the result I got, it really is just another example of how survey design can sort people into categories based on the rules of that survey. While that may seem obvious with any survey, it actually takes place every time you read about a candidate. The literature all have their inherent biases.

And don't forget, when you get around to musing that "there ought to be a law about..." -- remember this-
"You should not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it will convey if properly administered, but in the light of the wrongs it would do and the harm it would cause if improperly administered." Lyndon Johnson, 36th President of the U.S.
I'm still having fun with old pictures... :)
    Ruya and Bella with Coco
A 2006 photo: In dog house is Ruya, and on the step is Bella. Looking up at them both is Coco.
I remember the moments of such photos as if they were taken yesterday. :)

    Legalize the Constitution!

When the voices of extremists can strong arm our democratic process with use of funds accumulated via deception. When extremists can use this financial clout to broadly and wrongly profile populations as HIGH RISK for lifestyles not tolerated by these vocal extremists.

When extremists are successful in manipulating our legislators to enact wide reaching, selectively enforced and prejudicial legislation. And when the voices of the citizens to be affected are completely ignored by our legislators... something has gone terribly wrong.

    Borrowed from http://www.bloggernews.net/111851

REXANO Editorial By Zuzana Kukol, www.REXANO.org

"No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."
    (US Constitution)

Las Vegas, NV, November 21, 2007--In this country called United States of America, we have this ‘document’ many heard of in school but forgot all about it. It is called US Constitution, which guarantees us freedom of speech, which we are exercising right now, writing and publishing this editorial, as well as presenting it in video form on You Tube:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDzn6CX7Q4U

US Constitution also guarantees people pursuit of happiness, which many animal owners haven’t been able to exercise lately because they have been too busy fighting all the crazy animal legislation.

Constitution also guarantees people property rights: lands and animals are some of the most ancient type of properties. Many new laws are messing with both of them, with peoples’ right to use their land without government interference and with their right to choose the types and amount of animals.

It is time to Legalize the Constitution in the USA.

Our enemies, extreme animal rights (AR) activists groups, are getting stronger and more successful at passing bans regarding how many and what species or breeds of animals we can keep, and often mandating forced sterilization of domestic pets.

It doesn’t matter if you only own one hamster, horse, domestic dog, or cat, these unfair bans will eventually affect us all, since we all have a common enemy: extreme AR groups whose final agenda is no animals in captivity, no meat on our plates and no leather good in our houses. They want to remove all animal and human contact.

Year 2007 alone brought too many mandatory spay/neuter, breed specific legislation (BSL) and anti exotic animal bills and bans to many states, localities and even federal level. In too many cases the uneducated legislators and extreme animal rights groups have been winning and responsible animal owners losing their rights to keep the animal of their choice.

Property is not a dirty word, it signifies something people love, value and cherish, and often have to work hard for. Keeping legal status of animals as property also guarantees that animals can’t be stolen from their loving owners without consequences. If we, the animal owners, continue the trend of doing nothing noteworthy in legislative area we, animal owners, are going to be extinct soon and we have only ourselves to blame. Make sure your ‘animal votes’. Choose the animal owner and animal welfare (not animal rights) friendly candidate.

Educate the legislators, friends and family, so they don’t get gagged by the anti animal propaganda.

United we stand, divided we fall, regardless of the breed or species.

As long as animal welfare and public safety laws are followed, the private ownership of all animals should be protected and legal in the USA

Just say NO! to anti animal ownership laws.
Say YES to Legalizing the US Constitution.

REXANO is dedicated to the Responsible Exotic Animal Ownership while protecting public safety.

    No on California AB 1634
    "California Healthy Pets Act"
Choosing a 'feel good' perky name for a bill perpetuates the GRAND deception

Powerful!!! Can we be extremist Constitution lovers?

"I want your animal's gonads" provided some comic relief, but it puts the mandatory s/n bills in perspective.
